About Us
Our Journey
We opened our first clinic in November 2019 on Cloverdale Road in a 1,900-square-foot facility with four exam rooms, serving patients during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. In February 2022, we expanded with a 3,000-square-foot clinic at 343 HWY 72 in Killen, Alabama, marking our second location. In January 2024, we relocated our original Cloverdale Road clinic to a new, modern facility across the street. To serve more communities, we opened our third clinic in Moulton, Alabama, in February 2025, supporting the residents of Lawrence County. In July 2025, we acquired the former Med Plus building in Muscle Shoals from Dr. Charles McGahey, establishing our fourth location, Hamilton Family Urgent Care - Muscle Shoals.
Our clinics are equipped to address a broad spectrum of urgent medical needs, from minor injuries to acute illnesses. We are honored to serve our communities and remain committed to expanding access to quality healthcare throughout Alabama.
Wes Hamilton - CEO
Wes was born near Cloverdale in western Lauderdale County, where he attended Cloverdale School and graduated from Wilson High School. His healthcare career began in emergency medical services (EMS), where he served as a Nationally Registered Paramedic for nearly 30 years. Passionate about advancing his expertise, Wes became a Flight Paramedic, earning the prestigious FP-C (Certified Flight Paramedic) certification. He also completed nursing school to become a Registered Nurse (RN), working in the Cardiac and Thoracic Recovery Unit (CTRU) at ECM Hospital in Florence, specializing in post-operative care for open heart and thoracic surgery patients.
Wes furthered his credentials with certifications as a CCRN (Critical Care RN), CTRN (Certified Transport RN), and CFRN (Certified Flight RN) while working as a flight nurse. In 2010, he earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and transitioned to a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), bringing his extensive experience to patient care.
Lynn Hamilton - President
Lynn was born in Killen and graduated from Brooks High School. She began her career in EMS, achieving certification as a Nationally Registered Paramedic and serving for over 20 years. Committed to professional growth, Lynn pursued further education to become a Registered Nurse (RN). With 26 years of nursing experience, she has provided skilled and compassionate care, significantly contributing to the mission of Hamilton Family Urgent Care.
Wes and Lynn, married for 30 years, reside in Killen, Alabama. They are proud parents of three sons and grandparents to four grandchildren, remaining deeply rooted in their community.
